Prepositions of Place

AT / IN / ON

Predlozi at / in /on su najčešći sa kojima označavamo gde se šta nalazi:

1. AT – koristi se za precizna mesta ili kada lokaciju posmatramo kao tačku

• My house is at the end of the street.
• I’m working at my desk.
• Your name is at the top of the page.
• She is at school.
• Tom is at the doctor’s.

2. IN – koristimo da bismo označili da je neko/nešto unutar nekog prostora -akcenat je na granici:

• I live in Serbia.
• Sara is in her room.
• He works in a hospital.
• There are fish in the river.

3. ON – Kao i u srpskom jeziku – koristimo kada je nešto na površini:

• The book is on the table.
• There is a photo on the wall.
• I saw it on TV.
• The phone is on the desk.
